A top Israeli defense official met with Pentagon officials to discuss advanced arms sales.
Pinhas Buhris, the director general of the Defense Ministry, met with top U.S. defense officials this week.
According to reports, he discussed the Joint Strike Fighter, a state of the art combat plane due to be ready for use by 2013.
Buhris also asked about the latest model F-22 stealth jet, the Jerusalem Post reported, concerned that it might face a confrontation with Iran before the JSF is ready. Congress has banned selling the F-22 abroad.
Buhris also discussed long, middle and short-range missile defense systems.
