The terrorist who gunned down eight students in the Mercaz HaRav attack was reportedly once a driver for the yeshiva.
Media reports identified the slain killer as Alaa Abu Dheim, 20, and said his family had set up funeral tents hung with flags of the terrorist Hamas movement outside his home in the Jebel Mukaber neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem.
The killer walked into the cafeteria of the yeshiva on Jerusalem’s western outskirts at about 8:30 pm Thursday and opened fire, killing eight students aged 15-26 before being gunned down in retaliatory fire.
