Israeli forces killed four Hamas militiamen in Gaza.
A shell apparently fired Tuesday by Israel’s air force flattened a Hamas security post in the southern Gaza Strip. Military officials said the operation came in response to Palestinian cross-border rocket and mortar salvoes in the area.
Earlier, Israeli ground forces fired a missile at a Palestinian rocket crew near Gaza City but the device flew off target, hitting a house. Six civilians were wounded. Military officials said the incident was under investigation.
