An Israeli was arrested for attempting to stab a Palestinian taxi driver.The suspect, described in the media as a religious Jerusalem resident in his 30s, was taken into custody Monday after allegedly assaulting the driver with whom he had been a passenger.Police said the suspect told them he had been “instructed” by his rabbi to kill an Arab. The suspect is to undergo psychological evaluation Tuesday.In May, a religious Jew who had recently immigrated to Israel confessed to killing a Palestinian taxi driver in what appeared to be a hate crime. His defense attorneys argued mental imbalance.
