An Israeli airstrike killed an Islamic Jihad gunman in the Gaza Strip.
The strike late Sunday night marked
the first such attack in Gaza since Hamas took over the territory nearly two weeks
ago. The Israel Defense Forces said the militant, Hussan Khalil al-Hur, had
fired Kassam rockets into Israel on Sunday, wounding three people.
Two men
traveling with Hur were hurt when the missile ignited his car.
