Israeli police said Friday they were bracing for Palestinian rocket attacks on Ashkelon. Police in Ashkelon were on high alert and had expanded their presence in the southern coastal city and other communities near the Gaza Strip, Commander Uri Bar-Lev told Ha’aretz.Palestinians fired some 30 rockets into Israel on Friday, lightly injuring three residents of Sderot. According to Israel Radio, Hamas’ military wing said it would execute anyone who interferes with attempts to fire rockets at Israel.
