The Palestinian Authority reportedly rejected demands made by captors of a missing BBC journalist. Deputy Prime Minister Azzam al-Ahmed told Ha’aretz on Monday that Alan Johnston’s kidnappers said he is in good health. The kidnappers made various demands by phone, al-Ahmed said, but they were refused by the Palestinian Authority.”It seems the abductors feel they are in real
trouble,” he told the Israeli daily. “Their demands change from time to time. From
our side, all the demands that were presented were rejected.”Al-Ahmed did not identify the kidnappers or say how it was confirmed that they were holding Johnston, who was kidnapped March 12 near his Gaza City apartment.
