A bronze plaque commemorating Soviet soldiers was stolen from the former Terezin concentration camp. The 30-year-old plaque, taken by unknown perpetrators, was worth approximately $3,200. Last year, bronze inscriptions were taken from gravestones at Terezin, and in the fall, two bronze plaques disappeared.More than 200,000 prisoners were sent to Terezin by the Nazis; 150,000 of them were Jewish. The vast majority of Jews either died in Terezin or were sent on to death camps.
