Two
Ohio state representatives initiated legislation that would disinvest pension
funds from companies that deal with Iran.

In
their announcement Thursday, Josh Mandel and Shannon Jones, both Republicans
cited a study by a conservative group that claimed ties between four public
employees pensions and over 300 companies that have ties to Iran.

“The Marines I served with and the citizens I
represent would be concerned to know that their tax and retirement dollars are
being invested in Iran,” Mandel said. “It’s risky. It’s wrong. It must be
stopped.”
