Egypt warned Israel on Friday that Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben
Eliezer would be arrested if he set foot on Egyptian soil.
The warning followed a documentary film shown on Israeli television last week
that seemed to hold Ben Eliezer responsible for the deaths of 20 Egyptian
prisoners of war during the Six Day War, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Ben Eliezer cancelled a planned trip to Cairo in the wake of the broadcast.
Israel Radio reported that the Egyptian parliament was set to debate several
responses on Saturday, ranging from cutting off all ties with Israel to
expelling its ambassador, Shalom Cohen, from Cairo.
