A tripartite summit of U.S., Israeli and Palestinian Authority officials will take place in Jerusalem. U.S. officials told JTA that the Israeli capital had been chosen as the site for the Feb. 19 meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Rice hopes to jumpstart Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
