Ariel Sharon’s son resigned from the Knesset. Omri Sharon, who is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in a Likud Party funding scandal, tendered his resignation Tuesday. Omri Sharon, 41, admitted to illicitly funding his father’s 1999 run for the Likud leadership.
