JERUSALEM, Feb. 3 (JTA) — Vandals spray-painted messages on a Jerusalem memorial to slain Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin that call Rabin a traitor and a murderer. The extremist organization Kach claimed responsibility for the attack. Kach said it was retaliating against proposed legislation to remove a memorial at the grave of Dr. Baruch Goldstein, who murdered 29 Muslim worshipers at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron in 1994. Kach, which is outlawed in Israel, has recently applied for official reinstatement. Legislators from the Labor, Likud and Meretz parties condemned the act.
