JERUSALEM, Jan. 28 (JTA) — The head of the Prime Minister’s Office, David Agmon, announced his resignation this week, just three months after taking the position. Israeli media quoted sources close to Agmon as saying that he felt that he was being frozen out of important matters and was being denied access to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by senior aides. Agmon took the position of chief of the prime minister’s bureau in September. He was the second person to hold the post since Netanyahu was elected in May. His predecessor, Pinchas Fishler, stepped down amid legal problems.
