JERUSALEM, May 21 (JTA) — Palestinian police have arrested Daoud Kuttab, a Palestinian journalist with U.S. citizenship, and are holding him in a Ramallah jail. Palestinian sources said that Kuttab, who runs a television production company in eastern Jerusalem, apparently broke censorship regulations by broadcasting live from Palestinian Legislative Council sessions. Last year, the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists awarded Kuttab the International Press Freedom Award for his work challenging censorship practices of both the Palestinians and Israelis.
