JERUSALEM, March 20 (JTA) — Israeli warplanes struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon near the Syrian border. The attack came a day after one Israeli soldier was killed and three others were wounded when Hezbollah guerrillas attacked their patrol in southern Lebanon. Sgt. Avner Hezi, 20, of Alon Moreh, was laid to rest Thursday at Jerusalem’s Mount Herzl military cemetery. The spokesman for the Israel Defense Force said that all of the planes in Thursday’s strike returned safely to base.
