Funeral services were held here Thursday for Eliyahu Dobkin, a long-time member of the World Zionist Organization and Jewish Agency Executives, who died Tuesday at the age of 78. Dobkin was born in Poland and was one of the leading activists in the chalutz and aliya movement in that country. He came to Palestine in 1932 and served as head of the WZO’s youth and chalutz department and of the aliya department during the period of illegal immigration before the establishment of Israel’s independence. He also served for many years as chairman of the Keren Hayesod directorate.
