The Hebrew University said yesterday that it will expel any student found to be using drugs. The statement, issued by the rector’s office, was made in the wake of a report in the student newspaper which alleged that about 1,000 university students were users, mainly of hashish, although some took methedrine, LSD, and a few grew marijuana plants in flowerpots in their dormitories. The newspaper claimed that almost all of the users were foreign students and contended that there was no drug cult among Israeli students.
