Clergymen and laymen of all faiths paid tribute today to Rabbi Samuel Adelman, a leading Denver rabbi, who died suddenly at the age of 50 from a heart attack.
Catholic, Protestant and Jewish religious and lay leaders expressed shock and called the death “a great loss to our community.” Rabbi Adelman was a member of the executive committee of the Rabbinical Council of America and in 1949 he was honored by Gov. Alfred Driscoll of New Jersey for his civil rights leadership. He then held a pulpit in Dover.
