Lewis S. Rosenstiel, a prominent Jewish philanthropist and head of Schenley Industries, has announced gifts totaling $2,500,000 for a number of Jewish, Catholic and Protestant charities on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Among the recipients of the gifts were Brandeis University, which received $600,000, as well as the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of Greater New York and the American Jewish Committee.
