Funeral services were held here for Justice Gad Frumkin, former member of the Supreme Court of Palestine under British Mandatory Power, and a member of the board of governors of Hebrew University. He died Thursday night, aged 72.

Justice Frumkin was the founder and president of the Society for Jewish Jurisprudence, founder and president of the Friends of Hebrew University, president of the Israel-Ibero American Institute, and former president of the B’nai B’rith Lodge in Israel. Born and educated in Turkey, Justice Frumkin was also an authority on Ottoman law.
