Hymie Jacobson, well-know Yiddish actor and playwright, died here last night of a stroke. He was 57 years old. Born in Chicago, in a family long identified with the Yiddish stage, he wrote musicals for the Yiddish theatre, many of which were very popular. Two years ago he wrote the play, music and lyrics for “Catskill Honeymoon,” an American movie in Yiddish.
