Oscar Rocca, president of the HIAS committee in Ecuador, died here at the age of 61. A native of Dresden, Germany, he fled that country after the Nazis seized power in 1933. For five years he served as Ecuador’s consul-general in Paris and immigrated here in 1938. He was active in many Jewish communal undertakings in this country.
