A tribute to Jewish technicians in Lower Silesia and particularly the Jewish miners of the town of Valbshich was published in Dziennik Zachedni, leading newspaper of Katowice.
The newspaper reports that there are 500 miners and several thousand other Jewish technicians. The newspaper reported that many Jewish miners had increased their output to double the standards set by the mine management and that a group of Jewish farmers in the same vicinity had exceeded normal production by 225 percent. The Jews were also praised for their brotherly attitude toward the Poles and for their cooperation.
