The 22nd annual conference of the Yiddish Scientific statute opened here this week-end with some 350 delegates from many nations in the stern Hemisphere including Canada, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina attending.
The opening session last night was attended by some 3,000 delegates and guest. During Business sessions today a number of papers were delivered on various scientific and literary subjects. Dr. Leon Wulman, secretary general of the American OSE and a member of the YIVO executive, was the chief speaker at tonight’s dinner. The parley closes Tuesday.
