held in the morning, and Arthur J. Cohn, superintendent of the institution, will speak.
One thousand orphans of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum will gorge themselves with the great American fowl following the annual football game between Brooklyn and New York youngsters at Lewisohn Stadium.
Thanksgiving Day will be fittingly celebrated by patients of Montefiore, Mount Sinai, Lebanon and Beth Israel Hospitals. At Montefiore Cantor P. Jassinowsky will sing ritual music at services conducted by Rabbi M. Weisfield. Fred M. Stein, president of the institution, and Dr. E. M. Bluestone, director, will address the hospital’s congregation. At Beth Israel an entertainment program will be held in the auditorium and dinner will be served to 300 patients by arrangement with the social service department of the Hospital for Joint Diseases.
The Young Women’s Hebrew Association will hold a membership dance at headquarters, 31 West 110th street, Thanksgiving Eve, and the customary dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
RALLIES AND FEASTS
Five hundred persons are expected to attend a rally at the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association of the Bronx headquarters Thanksgiving Eve. Entertainment will be furnished.
Dinners for 125 people will be served by Beth-El Sisterhood at 329 East Sixty-second street, and the Jewish Board of Guardians will give turkey feasts to inmates of all homes and institutions under its control. The Young Folks League will furnish dinner for 250 children at the Home for Hebrew Children, at Rockaway Park, and the Lakeview Home is planning a costume party for the girls.
In addition to the dinners and services, a large and varied program of outdoor games and activities will feature the day at Hawthorne School, Surprise Lake Camp and other country homes, camps and schools of Federation affiliates.
The Junior League of Beth Israel Hospital will hold a Thanksgiving card party and dance at the Paramount Mansion.
JEWISH BLIND TO BENEFIT
The cause of the blind will be advanced tonight by the Thanksgiving Eve dance and Monte Carlo evening which the Junior League of the New York Guild for the Jewish Blind will hold at the Plaza. Dance music will be provided by Johnny Green and his orchestra.
