“Jim Crow” coaches for “non-Aryans” made their first appearance in the Polish Republic when the Liga Morska Kolonialna, an organization campaigning for colonial possessions for Poland, arranged an excursion to the new port of Gdynia, the Polish Jewish newspaper, Chwila, reported.
Jews joining the excursion were segregated in different coaches and had to pass through twenty-six coaches reserved for “Aryans,” the paper charged, in order to reach their dining-car.
