The rising tide of anti-Semitic agitation in many of the Jewish centers of southern Brazil is described in an article published recently in the local Yiddishe Folkszeitung.
The article is based upon the observations of a special correspondent of the newspaper and exhorts Jewish public opinion to take immediate steps against the threat of Fascism in Brazil, particularly in the smaller towns where there are but a few Jewish families.
A warning to Brazilian public opinion not to let itself be inveigled by the anti-Semites and Fascist Integralists was sounded here by Professor David Rabello, speaker at an I. L. Peretz League meeting at Bello Horizonte. The words of the professor, who is a prominent and popular scholar, aroused considerable newspaper editorial comment and left a deep impression.
