The Spanish Premier, Allesandro Lerroux, today declared in the course of a press conference that his government is studying intensively the question of granting citizenship to the Sephardic Jews, descendants of the Spanish Jews, who desire to return to Spain.

Ever since the Jews were driven out of Spain, the Sephardic Jews have clung to the Spanish language and to Spanish traditions. They speak a language called Ladino.
