Comment to Bibi to U.N.: Goldstone report a test for all between Israel or terrorists

the title of this article could be:

Bibi to U.N.: Goldstone report a test for all between bullies or Palestinians

Israel thinks the World is blind and naive. I saw the videos of the Israeli attack. I knew they were breaking laws and going beyond what a military action is suppose to be. Just because they say "we didn't to anything wrong" it doesn't mean I'm going to believe them. The Goldstone report just conforms why I already knew.

Comment to Obama on peace talks: Stop talking about talking, and start talking

Alan H... with people like you peace will be impossible
99.9% of Jews and 99.9% of Palestinians just want to work and have a happy family... and trade between each other, like 800 years ago.
Is the 0.1% (like you Alan) that keep the problems alive, and don't want to make concessions.
My idea: one state with all together... mayors (Jews/Palestinians) in each town... live wherever you want... and stop complaining!!!

Comment to Israel, Jewish groups seek to discredit new U.N. report on Gaza war

what took them so long to issue the report? As soon as I saw the phosphorus rockets being launch in the middle of the city, I knew somebody was a war criminal (the one that gave the order). I have heard recently that those bombs were illegal to use against population and suddenly Israel is using them against civilians.
Let me put it this way: if one country A hates another country B, who knows which reasons are valid. If 5 countries support country B against country A, maybe there is a problem with country A. If 100 countries don't like what country A is doing with country B, I guess that country A is not good and should be condemn. Israel calls that Antisemitism. I call it common sense.

If God gave them that land, why did he put so many Arabs on it?
Why doesn't he explodes the Palestinian rockets in mid air?

blackie... go to North Korea if you want to see people with only one idea in mind.

people are not anti-Semitic... they are anti-bullies... it happens that Jewish politics are bullying Arabs all the time.

blackie... trying being nice to Arabs and you will start to fill the love.
otherwise, don't complain about the rockets.
what would you do if somebody comes inside your house and doesn't want to leave? kiss them to death?

I knew it. I told my friend: Everybody is talking about peace again, and once more Israel does something that might stall the peace talks or cause a reaction from the Palestinians, and Israel will have once more an excuse to use their power to "resolve" the problem. They are doing this for years. Who doesn't want peace now?

hey Cheryl, I travel with Arabs in the bus everyday. Women, men, kids. They are not trying to kill me. On the other side, I'm not kicking them out of their houses or their lands. Now, go and think about that for a couple of weeks....

stop quoting non-sense.
Noah's story was a copy of a Middle East story from hundreds of years before Noah's "story". Just because some human wrote something in a book 2,000 years ago, it doesn't mean God was whispering on his ear. If that is the case, anybody can write a Bible and claim God talk to them.

Arkady,
Jewish people write Bible,
Jewish people talk about invisible God that gave them that land,
Palestinians took the land back and ALLOW Jews to remain and continue with their traditions,
Jewish people go back to Bible and proclaim the land is theirs because of what they wrote thousands of years ago.
Great!
You must believe the Earth is 6,000 years old.
What about the Universe? 6,000 years old too?
I don't have pastors indoctrinating me day after day after day.
I had teachers with facts.

Blackie,
I'm not pro-Arab you self-righteous person... I'm pro people that like to live in peace. You understand this concept? If God gave you that land, why did he allow the Palestinians to take it back?

Cheryl.... just because you say it, it doesn't make it so. Jerusalem is Israeli? since when? Did those Arabs drop from the sky? If they are living in East Jerusalem, maybe that is God's plan to teach Jews that Arabs are not the buggy monster, that they are ok people to live around. Arabs defend Jews from Catholics when they occupied Spain, remember? Arabs and Jews are just people that want to be happy.
1000 Jews here, tomorrow 2000, in 6 months you will be asking, "did Arabs ever live in East Jerusalem?"

phili, people like you push Palestinians to violence. I conclude, after many years of following your issues, that each time Palestinians and Jews talk about peace, Israel does something (Sharon visiting that church in the Arab section) that will cause a reaction fro the Palestinians and the talks stop and chaos continue. I get it... stall the peace talks so more and more Jews build settlements and more Arabs are push from their homes. See, is not a secret anymore.

plus, Jerusalem means "City of Peace" and Jewish people have no idea how to generate peace. They had year after year and the only option was to push Arab people away, instead of embracing them, working together, developing the region, so everybody will end liking the Jewish. Instead, they got powerful allies (England, US), just to get a good Military, impose their will (giving almost all the water to themselves), and then one somebody does or says something against them, they go to the corner to cry, turn around and cry-out-loud "antisemitic", when in reality is "anti-bad neighbour".

Jerusalem was given to the Jewish by God... until they killed his only son... then God took the lease and make little pieces of it... please that story that God gave me this, God gave me that, was written by the Jews. You lost the city. Done. Then through lies, the Jewish took it back (thanks to England). Very ethical (not!). The Arabs fought the war to regain control of their lands. England lie. End of discussion: the lands are suppose to go to the Arabs. Maybe if the Jewish people fought during the war they might have some rights.

Stuart,
I saw the documentary on TV about the death scrolls. I doubt that there was an official translation for 40 years. The Xerox company prepare some techniques to allow the team of experts to extract the writing from the scrolls. All about contrast since the scroll surface looks almost black and the writing is almost invisible. It was done maybe 10 to 12 years ago (I could be wrong but they were using sophisticated scan machines). Also, the scrolls were breaking on contact, so they have to separate each page in pieces and then build the puzzle in computers.

new U.S. peace plan? are you kidding me? what about those 2 Palestinian families whose house has been taken away? The Jews in charge of Israel (I'm sure 99% of Jews are just fine people) think they are superior to all the other cultures in the World. Proclaiming that God gave the Jews power over Israel, they kick families from their houses. What kind of evil, taking-sides God is that? God is being embarrass by those actions. I'm embarrass. Now the entire World is watching how evil is Israel. Good job Israel. When are you going to start drawing kitties on TV? or bitting dogs just for fun?

Paul,
The Peel commission happened much later of the origin of the real problem.
The "Sykes–Picot Agreement" cause the initial problem.
"It negated the promises made to Arabs through T. E. Lawrence for a national Arab homeland in the area of Greater Syria, in exchange for their siding with British forces against the Ottoman Empire."
Using simpler wording... the British lie to the Arabs.
They allow the Zionist colonization in Palestine.
That was the cause of Arab revolts in 1916-1918 and in 1936-1939.
and so it continues.

from the news I understand that Israel doesn't let Palestinians build in their own land... by restricting construction material. Israel seems to believe in restriction for others but not for them. Double standard anyone?
Also, the Jews got the Palestinian land with help of England, by lying to the Arabs... technically, Israel is suppose to stop building in Palestinian lands... but of course they ignore all International suggestions because they don't care.
I'm not anti-people-of-any-kind. I'm just anti-hypocrisy.
Give the Palestinians their land back and you can have your peace.

Cheryl, you said "we are actually responsible for Jesus’s apotheosis"... using the same analogy, "Hitler is responsible for the sympathy that everybody has for the Jewish suffering during WW II", so you have to thank Hitler now.
about "nuns didn’t beat you hard enough at Catholic school": they didn't bit me... I wasn't an American native or Australian aboriginal people... nuns had enough people to bit apparently.

I don't have a problem with the Jews. Is not about blame. If the Jews orchestrate Jesus death, so be it... somebody had to do it, no? my problem is with the Jews that don't want to accept their responsibility. They don't even have the same calendar because that will mean that Jesus was the son of God and not just another prophet.
Just say it: "we did it" and we are done.

Comment to Bibi rebuffs U.S. on halting Jerusalem project

Melvyn, Jesus was telling people that they didn't need special places to pray, that they could do it anywhere. Who do you think was going to give money to all those Priests? Jesus was eroding the grip the high priests had on the people. Why would Romans kill Jesus? He didn't do anything to them. He was talking to the regular people. I guess the 13 silver coins mentioned in the Bible is false.
By the way, could you show me any evidence that God exists? I bet you have a lot evidence since you talk about God so much. Did you know that Jesus was not the first person to die and come back to life after 3 days? mmmmm weird how that story reach the Bible.
They just published the oldest Bible on line. I think San Mathews ends with Jesus death. But in the actual version of the Bible, Jesus resuscitates? As if somebody wrote that there just to make the entire thing more persuasive......

Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl,.... who paid Judas? The Romans? no! The Jews. Just because they were not there in the Garden to give the orders to the Roman soldiers that doesn't mean that they had nothing to do with it. Are you telling me that Bush had nothing to do with Iraq because he was not there during the invasion? Just because is "convenient" to the Jews to think they are "innocent", that doesn't make them so. Haven't you heard about contract killings?

Maybe God named Israel the "chosen people" because they were the only ones capable to kill Jesus, an innocent man threatening the Religious Jew hierarchy.

Comment to Commission: Jews intimidated at York U.

I live in Montreal, but I'll take a guess about the reasons: Israel policy against Palestinians. Montreal is a very diversify community, so we don't like to see communities where people are left out because they are not Jewish. Canada in general didn't like the destruction of Lebanon. Neither the attacks in the West Gaza (the biggest prison in the World). The fear that Jews have about Palestinians is sickening. The day Israel opens up and establishes lines of dialogue and starts sharing their resources with Palestinians, the violence will disappear and the anti-Semitic feelings will vanish. Nobody likes a bully. Peace is on Israel hands.... they just need to stop "clapping" so much.

Comment to Groups silent in face of Obama calls for settlement freeze

Palestine was in Arab hands for hundreds of years. Arabs were lied after the war and their lands were given to Israel.
Thomas, the idea of giving Jews the right to settle everywhere, doesn't implied that wherever they settled they can push the Palestinians out of that area, the way they do that right now. The problem with Israel is that they can't live mix up with another ethnic group. Everything is about them and what is important for them. When Arabs took Jerusalem back a long time ago, they allowed Jews to live there and follow their traditions. Even in Spain Jews were allowed to follow their own traditions. But Israel doesn't want to be "MIX" with any other group. So they have to push others out.

Rockets are an act of violence.
Having check points all over the place is a form of violence: it doesn't make sense, interferes with the life of people that mind their own business, and pushes people to act violently in desperation.

Each settlement includes an army garrison, creating walls, cutting Palestinians from their farmlands. But Israel knows that. Israel doesn't want peace and the freezing of settlements. They just want to keep the same problems going on forever, so they can keep pushing the Arabs out and keep building more and more.

Dear Ross, the difference between every Israeli father or mother and Dr. Ezzeldeen Abu al-Aish's is that he still believes in peace, even though he lost 3 daughters, while the Israeli people wants revenge. The only ones that don't want peace are the politicians. They don't want to give anything away to show their power, and keep pushing the other side around. After Saladin conquer Jerusalem hundreds of years ago, he allow Jewish people to remain in the city and carry on with their traditions. Something today's politicians can learn.

People like Steve are the problem. Part of the BEHAVIOUR problem. You start with the Muslims blowing themselves, but you don't bother asking yourself why are they doing that. Is because there lands are occupied. Because they are push around in a daily basis. Because the water that Israel enjoys doesn't go to Palestine land in the same amount. You said Jesus was a false god. Why? Because Jews make him kill and that is hard to accept, so just deny, deny, deny? Jews are the Chose People... for what? To push around other people that are not Jews? Maybe Israel was promise to the Jews, but then Jews have Jesus killed... in any place that would mean that Jesus father will cancel his promise. Maybe the Jews were chosen because God knew they were the only ones capable of killing Jesus, and Jesus needed to be killed in order to safe humanity.
I'm sure there are Jewish people minding their own business: teacher, nurses, bread makers, etc, etc,.... is just the Politicians that think they can do whatever they want regardless of who suffers in the process. There are no Anti-Semitic feelings, is just Anti-bullying feelings.

I was going to write a comment, but I agree with Morgan Jacobsen 100%, so I'm going to add to her 2 comments.

There is no anti-semitism.... there is anti-bullying... and Israel is just a bully. Thanks to the US money for defence, Israel is more powerful than any of this neighbours, and now they think they can get away with anything. Whenever there is a criticism somebody yells "Anti-Semitic!!!" and everything is just fine.... not!
N Jacobson: you want references? Read the news: Israel doesn't allow construction material inside Gaza, so they can't rebuild their houses, or any kind of well to obtain water. Maybe you think that Palestinians collect rain water in buckets because they prefer that method. When you have a green land beside a brown land, there will be violence.
Steven M: you think that cutting water and medicine and almost anything other resource to Gaza is not a violent act. I do. If somebody cuts the water supply to my mother, brothers, sons and daughters, you better believe that violence is going to come out from me, a non-violent guy.

Comment to Iran's Khamenei: Israel a 'cancerous tumor'

Agree, it might be just a worthless land, but just because you have a big house and one of their rooms is empty, that doesn't give your neighbour the right to break in and occupied that room, decorate it and then claim "it looks much better than before, and I did it, so now this room is mine". I'm convince that the Israeli people are one of the smartest group of people in the entire World. The problem is that they don't know how to share. They look for their own (as a Government, I'm not talking about the hard working people). Now they want to demolish Israeli-Arab houses to make a park. The park is the excuse obviously. They just want to "clean" the area. I saw in 60 minutes how soldiers enter an Arab house to do surveillance. What it really is going on is harassment, and will continue until the family leaves. All these money waste in security... instead of investing a fraction in making the lives of the people around better. I don't get it. Such a waste of peace.

where you have:
Politics and power: The Muslim factor in European politics

you also have:
Politics and power: The Israeli Lobbyist in the U.S.
Why from the 100 top most influential people in the US, 50% are Jewish?
When the Soviet Union ended, 6 of the 7 new billionaires in Russia where Jews... That doesn't mean that all the Jews are bad people. Only These 6 that scam many Russian citizens from their money with false promises. I never like generalizations. Too many innocents get mix-up with bad people.
A hammer is not something bad, unless you use it to hit another person. Islam is just fine. The problem is the few (very few) that use it with obscure purposes. Also bad are the other religions, when they do things that gave radical Muslims a reason to hate back (see Palestine).

John, you said that "islamists nurture them to accept Jidad and extremism"... what is wrong... extremists do that. 99.9 % of Islamic people are just fine.
Here in Montreal, we have diversity, everybody respects everybody on the streets. If there is an issue, discussions are carry on for days or weeks on radio and TV. Different groups are invited. Ideas are exchange.
The problem in the Middle East is Israel, who wants to eradicate non Jews from Jerusalem. Today I heard talks about an Arab area in Jerusalem that (it seems) Israelis want to demolish to create a Park. I can smell the violence that is going to cause already. Can't wait to see the Palestinian families crying beside the rubble that once was their home. And the images will be seen across the Arab World. And the US will say nothing, again, what will make the Arabs think, once again, that US and Israel are the same.

This is crazy. I'm fascinated by the different cultures I'm surrounded. I'll love to eat all the different foods and listen about their cultures. And some groups of people in this World want to live in their own bubble, away from any 'contamination' that might put in danger their whole precious way of living (apparently not that strong after all these years)...

These guys were trafficking secret information for years. They knew it was illegal but they didn't anyway. Why so bold? Because the Israeli lobbyist in DC are the biggest and more influential in the US. They control whatever the hell they want to control. They get 2-3 billion dollars a year from the US. For what? more hospitals? schools? NO!!! Guns and equipment that has only one goal: destroy the neighbours.
Israel will say: "but they kidnap one soldier,... so we went and destroy Lebanon... fair is fair....".
Is amazing to me to see Israel surprise when they are attack, or when people show hate to them. Is not anti-antisemitism... is just plain and old anti-bullying reaction.

Is amazing to me to see Israel surprise when they are attack, or when people show hate to them. Is not anti-antisemitism... is just plain and old anti-bullying reaction.

Hamas kidnaps a soldier because of the closing of the borders.
Israel won't open the borders because they want the soldier back.
mmmmm.....
is a never ending story.

It seems that harassing 1.5 million Palestinians every day with crossing borders and blockades doesn't work that well after all.

Considering the fact that Israel is being built in Palestinian lands, is amazing to read that Israel doesn't have land to give away.
About the Pledge of Allegiance, that is meaningless. You can recite any words that you want, but if the government betrays the people, the Pledge is worthless. If Israel shows respect to the Arab people, the Arab people will show good behaviour and friendship toward Israeli people. People in their own communities will fight with their neighbours if they are not shown the proper RESPECT. Israel problem is that they care about Israeli people. You can't live like that in this multicultural World. I'm in Montreal. My building has Middle East people. I see kids taking the same bus I take, going to school with their heads cover. They all look lovely and cute. Nobody is looking for a fight. ISRAEL: EMBRACE OTHER CULTURES, GET ALONG WITH YOUR NEIGHBOURS.... IT WON'T KILL YOU.

Shalit is in Hamas hands because of the continuous blockade against the Palestinian people. Israelis want Shalit release or no more trucks. Hamas won't release him until the trucks come back. Excellent. A loop!!!

If Hamas seems to be able to bring rockets and ammunition to Gaza bypassing the blockade... the blockade is just stopping food and essential supplies for the Palestinians... what makes people mad and motivates them to join the radical people into the Hamas organization.

It seems that the solution is to stop the blockade and see what happens. Let the media do their job and report if Hamas goes violent again.

Moshe, you are missing the point. Why don't all people t like Jews? Is because they are bullying Palestinians for years and years. I understand that Hamas is using violence, but is because they are receiving "violence" from Israel. A blockade of food and water against 1.5 million Palestinians is a pacific-way-of-violence. There are no shots, there are no rockets, there are no tanks, just a blockade. As a consequence of that people go hungry, people die in hospitals because of lack of medicine, young people live without hope in a normal future. If Israel thinks the Palestinians are not going to react Israel is out of their mind.
I live in Montreal, surrounded in my building by Middle East families. They couldn't be any nicer. A couple of times I drop objects in the lobby and found them when I came back home. The problem that Israel has is that they don't trust anybody that is not Jew. And by thinking that they are "special", they separate themselves from everybody.

Maybe this violence has something to do with Israel stealing Palestinian land and lately trying to starve 1.5 million Palestinians. This causes an effect on Palestinians and they throw rockets to Israel. But the cause is due to Israeli actions. The media is bias because they always tell the story starting with the Palestinian rockets.
Maybe the 600 posts controlling the movement inside Palestinian territory is just to much. Nobody should have to ask permission to move inside their house. This is just plain harassment.
I can't understand why the Israeli people don't feel any kind of empathy for human suffering. Apparently if the person suffering is not Israeli is not important.

I'm sure they have the smartest people in the World, and that they are very successful... good for them... but after that they won't think in helping anybody. They want to annex more and more land from the Palestinians, they don't want to give back what "by law" they are suppose to, they cut food and water supplies to 1.5 million people in Gaza. I'm surprise the 1.5 million Palestinians don't march and invade Israel. I'm upset just by reading about their suffering (I'm from South America).

I understand that for Jews those lands are theirs, the problem is that they are the only ones believing in that. Those lands are Palestinians. I can only imagine how tire the Palestinians are of having Israel controlling their home. I just watched in "60 minutes" how much water Israel has on their side, and how dry is the Palestinian side. I must be the only one that understands what Israel goal is: annoy the Palestinians until they leave. The problem is that they won't. I saw the only remaining Palestinian house on top of a hill being invaded by Israeli soldiers with the excuse of surveillance. Then sleeping in their beds for 2 to 3 days, forcing the family to live under horrible conditions.
And then the Jewish people don't understand why people don't like them.... really? you don't get it?... nobody likes bullies.
If you come into my house, and push me to the smallest room, and harass my wife and kids, I'm might try to attack you, but if I can because you have guns with you, I might punch your kids or kick your wife.

Israel didn't won. All the Hamas people killed are cancel by the killing of innocents. Is just a "phyrric price" to pay (too high). I have seen videos in the Internet that is obvious were not prepared in advance, explaining shooting by Israeli soldiers of people waiving white flags. If Israel had invested money in Gaza instead of armament, they will be seen as an inclusive people that look for others. But for the moment, Israel prefers to bomb Hamas and anybody close to them. The use of phosphorous in the middle of a big city is obvious illegal, and says to me that what Israel wants is to destroy as much of the city as possible, so the people has to leave Gaza and Israel might, one day, own that land. I don't see this happening, not ever. I wouldn't go away of what is mine.
