Hadar and Keren Shahar's five month old son? This is not possible, that little boy has a dad and has a right to be reared by a mom and a dad; all children do. And also who the heck wants to gain the approval of the West? The West is gone to the dogs. Seek G-d's approval and you wont be betrayed! - Blessings - Rene

Comment to Op-Ed: Dr. Tiller's murder is an attack on America

Re Frank Smith's statement "The Catholic church has only adopted such prohibitions since the middle of the 19th century" this is totally untrue. Read the early Church Fathers; the killing of the unborn has always been condemned by the Catholic Church. I don't know why people keep claiming that the Church taught this and the Church taught that when it is blatantly obvious to anyone who would take the time to educate themselves on the matter the correct teachings of the Church. You know, as a Catholic I'm sick, sore and tired of the constant barrage of misinformation about the Church. - Rene

Comment to Op-Ed: The importance of the pope's visit to Israel

I'm a Catholic and have always loved my Jewish brothers - always- since I was a child. I also love my Catholic Church and was so happy that Pope John Paul visited Israel, and now Pope Benedict. For believers to-day life can be very difficult, there is so much in to-day's society to tempt us to forget Who made the world, Who keeps it in being and at the end Who it is will be taking us home. Let us who believe in the one true G-d draw close and support each other in these days of wickedness. We have far more in common than we have that separates us. Blessing on all who long for the peace of Jerusalem. - Rene

Comment to Ahmadinejad at Durban II: The Video

"If you argue with a madman, it is extremely probable that you will get the worst of it; for in many ways his mind moves all the quicker for not being delayed by the things that go with good judgment.
He is not hampered by a sense of humour or by charity, or by the dumb certainties of experience. He is the more logical for losing the sane affections. Indeed the common phrase for insanity is in this respect a misleading one. The madman is not the man who has lost his reason. The madman is the man who has lost everything except his reason." G.K. Chesterton - blessings - Rene

Comment to Some more stem cell reaction

Are you all deaf or what! - David Granovsky has just shown you a clear picture of how useless your use of embryonic stem cells has proven to be. I just don't get it! The only conclusion I can possibly come to is my usual rule when I am perplexed - is there money in this, and I can only say that the whole abortion industry is a huge money maker for a lot of people. Thank you David for your clear teaching on this. - Blessings - Rene

Welcome to my world. I am a Catholic and I sympathise deeply with the ignorance of those who portray my Faith incorrectly - it happens all the time. My conclusion - they are either willfully ignorant or simply too lazy to do research or worse still; deliberately misrepresenting. And while I'm at it, about womens' dress; it seems to me if we look at the history of dress that only slaves went around half naked, the ruling class wore beautiful robes, as I look around me I see young women and not so young dressing like slaves - just a thought. - Blessings - Rene

Comment to Vatican doing damage control

I am a Catholic and I love my jewish big brother, I want to point out a few things about the Catholic Church during the Nazi regime: -
Bishop von Galen, was made Bishop of Münster in 1933, he spoke out fearlessly against the Nazis
At the Bishop's death the president of the regional association of the Jewish communities wrote to the Capitular Vicar in Münster: “Cardinal von Galen was one of the few upright and conscientious men who fought against racialism in a most difficult time. We shall always honour the memory of the deceased Bishop." Von Galen was not the only one; Pope PiusXll also - "One can also come to appreciate the human wisdom and pastoral intensity which guided him in his long years of ministry, especially in providing organized assistance to the Jewish people." Benedict XVI said the Pave the Way symposium offers the public forum the possibility of knowing better what Pius XII achieved for Jews persecuted by the Nazi and fascist regimes.

Courageous and paternal

The symposium gathered and presented a large amount of documented material, supported by authoritative testimonies. "In the proceedings of your convention," the Holy Father noted, "you have also drawn attention to [Pius XII's] many interventions, made secretly and silently, precisely because, given the concrete situation of that difficult historical moment, only in this way was it possible to avoid the worst and save the greatest number of Jews. This courageous and paternal dedication was recognized and appreciated during and after the terrible world conflict by Jewish communities and individuals who showed their gratitude for what the Pope had done for them."
Believe me we are not your enemy; the suffering that devout Catholics are now experiencing from a very hedonistic and selfish society and from false Catholics in our midst makes me think that those who believe in G-d and those who don't are growing further and further apart. I was appalled when I heard what Bishop Williamson said and please, realize he has been silenced, and rightly so.- Blessings - Rene

Comment to Greek weekly calls Jews 'Christ killers'

I'm a Catholic and I find it astonishing that anyone who knows anything about Christianity would not realize that it was for their sins Christ died and pointing fingers at anybody except oneself is totally missing the point. "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" - nobody dared then to cast a stone. Jesus was a Jew, His Mother was a jewess, all His desciples were jewish. I just don't get it when I hear such a statement as Jews were Christ killers. Please accept my apologies on behalf of what I can only conclude is a total ignoramus. Blessings - Rene
