Read the early Church Fathers; the killing of the unborn has always been condemned by the Catholic Church. I don't know why people keep claiming that the Church taught this and the Church taught that when it is blatantly obvious to anyone who would take the time to educate themselves on the matter the correct teachings of the Church. I am a Catholic and I sympathise deeply with the ignorance of those who portray my Faith incorrectly - it happens all the time. My conclusion - they are either willfully ignorant or simply too lazy to do research or worse still; deliberately misrepresenting. We shall always honour the memory of the deceased Bishop." Von Galen was not the only one; Pope PiusXll also - "One can also come to appreciate the human wisdom and pastoral intensity which guided him in his long years of ministry, especially in providing organized assistance to the Jewish people." Benedict XVI said the Pave the Way symposium offers the public forum the possibility of knowing better what Pius XII achieved for Jews persecuted by the Nazi and fascist regimes. Courageous and paternal The symposium gathered and presented a large amount of documented material, supported by authoritative testimonies.
