Madoff is on trial and his industry is on trial as long as it doesn't clean itself up. If anyone wants or needs to accept any of Madoff's blame or guilt it is there own problem--and it's very sad. While I understand the angst of our fellow Jews in Postville, I find it distressing that they are judging Rubashkin on what he provided for them rather than what he did to so many victims. Also, it is, in my opinion, the responsibility of the presidents of the Major Jewish Organizations to clean up this mess. He sees the big picture. He understands "history". He sees opportunities while others see reasons to hide or to act out foolishly. Many members of the "Jewish Leadership" in the US should learn from Shimon Peres' vision and Edgar Bronfman's actions.
