David Evans' links are as deceptive as his claims. Take
http://lawrenceofcyberia.blogs.com/photos/maps/landloss.html which supposedly documents Arab land loss to Jews in Palestine. First, the juxtaposition of "Jewish" and "Palestinian" land in the maps is deceptive, since a) the Jews living in the Palestine Mandate Territory were just as much 'Palestinian' (by law) as the Arabs; many Arabs came to the area from Egypt, Iraq, Syria or wherever because of the improved economy and facilities (health care, etc.) due to Zionist efforts. It is notable that today the millions of Arabs in Israel proper have the best life expectancy of any Arabs in the world. Second, we don't know the basis on which the maps designate land as Jewish or Arab. (We don't even know who made the maps, or based on what.) If the colors (white for Jews and green for Arabs) indicate actual population composition, the 1947, 1949-1967 and 2000 maps are fraudulent since both the UN plan of 1947, and the reality since 1949, have included large numbers of Arabs (now millions) living in Israel. And the 1946 map is clearly false because there were established Jewish kibbutzim on the West Bank in 1946. The residents of these collective living places were slaughtered by the Arab armies that invaded in 1948, stealing their land. Yet the West Bank is shown as entirely green in 1946. If the colors (green and white) are meant NOT to indicate population composition, but control, then a) the first map (1946) is all wrong because neither Jews nor Arabs controlled any part of Palestine before 1948 - the British did b) NOBODY calling themselves ‘Palestinians’ controlled Gaza and the West Bank from 1949 to 1967, Egypt and Jordan did, with no democracy – as agreed to in the first PLO charter and c) Arabs living in Israel DO vote for members of the Knesset, so they are part of the sovereign power. It is notable that Arabs live, go to school including university, buy land, work and are in the Knesset in Israel, and it is a severely-punished crime for a Jew or an Arab to physically assault, let alone kill, an Arab in Israel. But in Gaza and much of the West Bank it is in practice a crime punishable by death to BE a Jew, and it is, on the books, a capital offense BY LAW for any Arab to SELL LAND TO JEWS, in so-called Arab areas. Fourth, note that there is no map of the Palestinian Mandate territory in the early 1920s, before Britain violated the terms of its Mandate under the League of Nations and took two thirds of the Mandate territory and (illegally) created the state of Jordan, for exclusive use by Arabs. So the area shown in the 1946 map has already been shorn of most of its territory – with Jews forbidden to live in this usurped territory, despite the League of Nations having designated this territory for the creation of a Jewish homeland. Fifth, the Arab leadership (not the Jews) rejected the 1947 UN partition plan, so the implication that Israel somehow usurped Arab territory between the time supposedly shown in the map of 1947 and the map of 1948 is ludicrous. Instead of accepting the UN plan, the Arab armies, guided by Britain (regarding which see The Nation's UN Memorandum at
http://emperor.vwh.net/history/br.htm ) -- the Arab armies invaded to wipe out all the Jews, and were defeated, leading to Israel getting being established in 1948 with more territory than it would have had under the UN plan. And finally, note that there is no map showing Israeli territory from 1967 to 1979 – instead we have before the 1967 war and after 1979 (i.e. in 2000) Why? Because in 1979 Israel made the unprecedented move of giving Egypt most of its territory, namely the Sinai Desert, which has both mineral wealth and strategic importance. And since the propagandist who designed this map display was interested in fraudulently scoring points, not telling the truth, he decided it was best to avoid that diversion. Why trouble people with the facts? Trickery and falsification are the weapons of those who wish to isolate Israel so it can be wiped out, as called for in the Hamas charter, which also explicitly praises Hitler’s favorite book “The Protocols of Zion”.: Just so you know I do not use Mr. Evans’ method (invention of facts), here is a quote from the Hamas Charter: “The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.” http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp This is a fight against Nazis. In the worldwide onslaught of anti-Israel falsification, any charge can be made, without a shred of evidence presented - just a list - and then it is up to those who are not trying to destroy Israel to research the unsupported accusation and disprove it. Note only does Michael Lesher fabricate, he reverses the truth. For example: * Contrary to trying to destroy Arab medical facilities, Israel has never stopped providing medical care to Gaza Arabs, even though they have been known to try to blow themselves up in Israeli hospitals. * It is Hamas and other terrorists, not Israel, who have for a decade been using children as human shields, and then employing people like Lesher (and alas much of the media) to spread anti-Israel propaganda when those children are injured. Likewise, they fire from civilian areas, forcing Israel to treat such areas as terrorist sanctuaries, or be accused of attacking civilians. * Unlike any country in the history of the world, Israel has continued to allow food and fuel to pass from Israel proper to Gaza, even as the 'governing' forces in Gaza rained THOUSANDS of missiles on Israel, declaring in word, print and film that they want to kill the entire Jewish population. * If Israel wanted to crush Hamas *without concern* for suffering of civilians, it would have carpet bombed this tiny area into oblivion, instead of putting its troops in harm's way by conducting a police operation earlier this year. (The same as in Jenin, where a terrorist leader told the Egyptian media that the terrorists based their military plans on the conviction that Israel would never rely mainly on their airforce, but would adopt the relatively humane approach of sending in troops.) Why Mr. Lesher hates Israel, only he knows, but his arguments are not only hateful, they are lies. As for McKinney, anyone who takes her seriously should check out YouTube for her ludicrous statements, after she assaulted a white house guard who asked her for ID. She owes her prominence to being sponsored by the anti-Israel lobby, and her naval so-called humanitarian deliveries are transparently stunts -- by sailing into restricted waters, they put Israel in the position of seeming to forbid humanitarian supplies (which is a lie - such supplies are routinely delivered by land) or letting these phonies violate the restrictions. In fact, Israel did allow it - to its disgrace - a number of times, before finally stopping a boat, whereupon these political exhibitionists claimed the Israeli navy deliberately rammed their vessel. As the naval spokesman said, if they had the boat would have been sunk. You can read the navy's statement here http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/129112
