The word "convert" was a mistaken translation on YNET. The Hebrew word MUMAR is the original word, meaning someone who abandons Judaism and adopts a different religion.

It's too bad otherwise intelligent readers of this website cannot carefully read the article and understand that in fact there are CONSEQUENCES for Orthodox Jews whose leaders decide to publicly support the worst excesses of Zionism and the state of Israel. Chabad is haredi, and they are vocal advocates of Zionist behavior. It is as if they represent the rest of us. It makes all people targets in dangerous locations. Plain and simple.

As tragic as these terrible events were, does that justify ignoring the children dying in Gaza and Iraq as a result of collective punishment and the use of drone craft, F16s, helicopter gunships and tanks? Several hundred Pakistanis have been killed in the last few weeks by drones, does anyone shed a tear for them? Does anyone shed a tear for the malnourished children of Gaza?
