Mr. Edwards: Firebombs do not threaten life and safety? Since when? The article makes no claim of police overreacting. Why be so quick to make unfounded statements? If you were with the police, and a firebomb ignited your body, please tell me you would not react appropriately!

There can be no negotiations or civilized discussions with barbarians who want to kill as many innocents as possible, Israelis, Jews and their own people. The very definition of hamas (small h intentional).

I was prepared for a long response to the complete nonsense expressed by Nikos Retsos until I read the opinions expressed by Michael Disend and Neuroshock who I agree with for the most part. While Bibi nor Barak were outstanding PM's, neither was Ohmert and Livni. Of the choices available, Bibi and Barak are the best chance for Israel under present circumstances. If in fact Retsos was a professor, I dread the thought of her influencing young minds and revel in the fact that she is retired. And any reference to the UN without reminding readers that this organization has illustrated their anti semitism and hate of Israel for so long, it can no longer be denied.

Israeli soldiers need not use innocent Gaza citizens as human shields when hamas (small h intentional) does that constantly. It boggles the mind when these same Gaza citizens support hamas, who wants their own citizens to be in jeopardy as human shields. Hamas credo: The more fatalities, the better. To take anything the UN says seriously is foolhardy. They have shown their anti semetic bias and anti Israel positions at every turn.
