What about the lands which the Jews purchased from the absentee Arab landlords - Stolen??? What about all the Jewish real estate and personal property expropriated by the various Arab governments, when they expelled the Jews after 1948 - Are they going to give it all back??? You commentators should not get caught up in the Right vs. Left political propaganda! You sound like 3 minute election day mudslinging TV ads. The administratio should cut out the nation building. Let the two parties work things out for themselves.

When a USDA Veterinary Meat Inspector raises his hand, the plant stops!!! NO IFS,ANDS OR BUTS, That was the law when I was a young veterinary meat inspector in the 1960's. And that included the ENTIRE PLANT. If the meat products are shipped in interstate commerce, THE LAW is in effect. ENFORCE IT and the problems will go away. Eugene M. Kravis, DVM.

How about 11 million, not 6 million? Lets start with 200,000+ gypsies and the whole families of Poles, who helped Jews. It is time we taught the Holocaust with proper historical perspective. Scholars in Germany, Israel, America and elsewhere have known the true facts for decades.

I am a teacher of the Holocaust with 25 years of experience in the subject. Most ordinary Americans, Jew and Gentile have been conditioned and developed an Auschwitz concept of the Holocaust. Except for historians and scholars, they are not aware of the Einzatzgruppen actions form 1939 to 1942. Read ORDINARY MEN by Christopher Browning. I will be using that text in my classes.

Shunning is not enough. Bring back Excommunication. A Bet Din, composed of 3 Rabbis, Orthodox, Conservative and Reform should be convened to pass judgement on all Jewish members of this shanda. If laws are not on the books, harsh civil/criminal penalties should be passed.

The Federal Government and the new owners should make sure that the Federal Veterinary Meat Inspectors rule with a Iron Hand. I used to be one of them! I could shut down any plant, to which I was assigned, for any violation of the Federal 1906 Meat Inspection law,AND I COULD NOT BE FIRED!!! i worked side by side with Hekshers and approved the carcasses after they placed their Hebrew mark upon it. You should be ashamed to have given a hint of legitimacy to the so called "biological facts" in your above article. It is time that ALL rabbis enter the 21st Century. We wonder why the younger generation leave the synogogues. I will eat chicken parmesean and a glass of milk in front of any rabbi, and prove that my veterinary medical education has taught me more about healthy meat and milk than they ever knew! Eugene M. Lets go back to the shtetl. Many a rabbi and yeshivabocher spent his days at the synagogue study house pouring over the Torah and the Talmud, while his wife was selling merchandise in various shops to make ends meet. If there was discrimination, there is no religious or in depth historical justification for it. Those "back hats" should be reprimanded by both a Bet Din and aq civil court.
