This proactive actions are highly commendable. Israel must out-think his enemy especially as he is surrounded by enemies on every side. But I want to add that this trainings must be incorporated into daily activities of every Israeli citizen and that it must be extended to everywhere in the world where Israel has an interest. American security alertness is commendable but Israel must protect his people in other nations; Europe, Asia, Africa, south America etc. Israel desires peace like every other nation but may never enjoy such peace. Sorry for Olmert and his ideas of peace.

I read Mr David's comment about Gaza children dying due to blockage by Israel and I want to say it is unfortunate that he has not understood where the aggression is coming from. Someone is firing rockets at you with the intention to kill both your young and old, Hezbolla is rearming daily and training to destroy Israel, Iran is building nuclear bomb to exterminate Israel, Hamas and hezbolla do not even recognise israel as a nation but want it dead, Arabs in Israel has strong hatred for Jews and want them dead etc etc, yet Mr David can see them all as good and Israel bad. Is there any nation in the world where islamist and christians or other religions live in peace? Just last week in Jos, Nigeria islamists killed several christians and burnt churches. Were those residents Israelis?

Let Israel understand that the hatred of the Islamic Arab will never end with ceding of Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, or other parts. The Arab muslim wants Israel to cease to exist or to turn muslim. Israel must therefore protect all their assets every where in the world because the type of attack at Mumbai may be the next strategy of those perverted people who love destruction and bloodshed.

Why is it that of all the religions of the world it is always Islam that is associated with bloodletting, arson, suicide bombing, car bomb, mass murder? All other religions have found ways to spread their messages and win members or register displeasures but the islamists will always gleefully murder and terminate the life of their fellow men! I think the world should ask why terror is always associated with islamism. In history christians have been persecuted, killed, fed to lions, beheaded, buried alive etc etc but you will never hear of protest with suicide bomb in crowded market places! What manner of religion is this islam? This is why I strongly oppose Israel ceding land, dividing Jerusalem to accomodate people with such unquenchable desire for bloodshed...a reason why God took such good land off them in the first place as can be seen in the Bible...Book of Deuteronomy & joshua.

I find Mr Ellenson's assertions sad and worrisome. Who else will the society accomodate..those who desire marriage with pigs, sheep, dog etc? God loves all people but He calls certain people 'wicked'; these arepeople who pervert God's laws and wilfully but logically choose to disobey Him, thereby rebelling against Him. Today it is same sex, tomorrow it would be man abd animal wedded in the Church or Synagogue all in the name of liberty. Why did God destroy Sodom & Gomorra? Mr Ellenson should remember that God's love also carries judgement and terrible wrath with it. Check the Bible; Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, terrors, blood sheds etc. Charles Emelogu, Lagos.

I am in agreement with Mr Todd Appelbaum entirely. I am surprised that the settlers can be forcefully ejected from that house when the issue of the ownership of the house has not been determined. The documents alleged to be forged have not been entirely proven to be so. The issue of ownership of the house is still to be determined and a nation hastily threw its people out! So what happens if indeed the house is found to rightly belong to the Jewish businessman? You call back the ejectees? Where are those ejectees living now? Are they happy in the new place? Israel appears to me to be too frenetic to give away every thing for peace; is this 'peace' worth it? Where do you place a stop sacrifices for peace? I hope Israel will not have peace with Neighbours but strife with itself.
