Vandals strike California synagogue, Florida JCC
(JTA) -- Anti-Semitic messages and symbols were painted on a Sacramento-area synagogue.
Police are trying to determine whether Tuesday's attack on Congregation Beth Shalom was a hate crime, the Sacramento Bee reported.
The vandalism included a swastika, the phrase "Kristallnacht still lives" and the SS lightning bolts symbol.
Also, bushes lining the outside of the synagogue building were set afire.
The vandal was captured on a surveillance video camera.
Meanwhile, a Florida Jewish community center was vandalized Monday. Gold spray-painted swastikas and the phrase "Jews shall die" were painted on the Soref JCC building in Coral Springs.
Also Monday, a heavy object was heaved through the window of a Jewish high school in Miami Beach, the Miami Herald reported.
