Yawning Israeli soldier pardoned
JERUSALEM (JTA)—An Israeli soldier jailed for yawning during a memorial ceremony for Yitzhak Rabin was pardoned.
Sgt. Almog Amran spent 10 days of a 21-day sentence in jail before being pardoned over the weekend.
Amran was sentenced for showing contempt for the ceremony honoring the assassinated Israeli prime minister held earlier this month at the Ramat David Air Force base.

Unless the soldier was making a parody of a yawn to suggest boredom, yawning is a natural event when one is not breathing deeply enough, really has nothing to do with respect, per se.I’m thankful I live in the U.S.A. and needn’t worry about 21 days jail for yawning,ANYWHERE!
