Egyptians kill Israel-bound Sudanese

Egyptian police shot and killed a Sudanese man trying to cross into Israel.

The killing, south of the Rafah border crossing late Monday night, brings to 20 the number of Africans seeking asylum in Israel who have been killed by Egyptian officials.

Egyptian police arrested two other migrants and two escaped back into Egypt.

About 2,800 Africans running from war and economic difficulties have entered Israel through Egypt in the past several years. The refugees face discrimination and economic hardship in Egypt.
