Olmert faces third interrogation on Talansky
Ehud Olmert will undergo a third round of police questioning in the Talansky case on Friday.
Israeli police announced the impending interrogation Tuesday, saying it would address new queries about the prime minister’s ties to Morris Talansky, an American financier who testified to having given the politician more than $150,000 in cash handouts and unpaid loans.
Olmert has denied the contributions constituted bribes and has vowed to step down if indicted in the case.
Next week, Talansky is to make a second appearance in Jerusalem District Court, where he will be cross-questioned by Olmert’s lawyers.
