Swastikas found in Brooklyn
Swastikas were found in two areas of Brooklyn on the first two days of 2008.
On Wednesday, a large swastika was found painted on the door of a Brooklyn senior center, which also doubles as a synagogue. An anti-Semitic phrase was also painted there.
A day before, two swastikas were found painted on a home in Borough Park, the Brooklyn community with the highest concentration of Holocaust survivors in New York.
“It’s amazing that 60 years after the Holocaust, we are still dealing with people who paint swastikas,” state Assemblyman Dov Hikind, the son of a Holocaust survivor who represents Borough Park, told the New York Post.
