PrintIsraeli charity an option in federal program
An Israeli health support group has been selected to participate in a U.S. government program that allows federal employees to make contributions.Ezer Mizion, which was established in 1979, is now an option in the Combined Federal Campaign, the charity announced. Its divisions include food distribution and a bone marrow
registry for cancer patients, as well as programs for special-needs children,
the elderly and terror victims.The campaign allows civilian, military and postal employees to either
donate once or have money withheld from their paychecks to benefit
participating organizations. More than 1.3 million employees have pledged over $250 million to 1,900 national organizations and 40,000 local charities.The Israel Fund/Tzedakah Israel helped Ezer Mizion secure its participation in the donor campaign.
