Group replaces altered photo

A pro-Israel Christian group replaced a photo on its Web site
after learning the image was doctored. Christians United for Israel, a
rapidly growing evangelical group, had featured on its Web site (http://www.cufi.org) a banner

function changefontSize(id,size,line) {
document.getElementById(id).style.fontSize = size;
document.getElementById(id).style.lineHeight = line;
}

showcasing a sunrise panorama of Jerusalem’s Western Wall and the Temple Mount area above it.

The group said it had not known the photo was altered to exclude the
mosques on the Temple Mount.  The mount is holy to
both Jews and Muslims, and
sensitivities over the site have led to bloody clashes in recent years.
By Tuesday morning, the photo had been replaced on the CUFI site by one
that shows the familiar golden Dome of the Rock.

The photographer and the Israeli agency that sold the photo said the photo had been manipulated for artistic reasons.
