Calling everyone who loves Hanukkah kitsch! Calling everyone who hates Hanukkah kitsch!
TheJewniverse.com is announcing its first annual Hanukkah Kitsch Photo Contest and we are calling on all tackiness-attuned members of the general public to document the found highlights and lowlights of this most miraculous of holidays in this most decorated of seasons.
Hanukkah hams? Tinsel-strewn electric menorah displays? Fugly Hanukkah Sweaters? Light-up Hanukkah aprons? You’ve spotted it, now whip out your cameraphone and send us the photo so everyone else can, too.
And the winner gets?
A GeltFiend Hanukkah sweater (value: $60 – $65) of their choice. That’s right: Whether you go weak in the knees for Hasidic snowmen, garish dreidels, or giant Hanukkah coins, there is a tacky Hanukkah sweater for you. (Read Jewniverse’s definitive GeltFiend write-up, complete with Bridget Jones reference.)
Winning photo and top runners-up will be featured in an exclusive All-Around The Jewniverse Hanukkah Kitsch Photo Montage.
Submit your photos and a brief description of when and where you spotted the display to contests@jta.org/jewniverse by Monday, December 17. Spread the word and start angling for that sweater today!
