JERUSALEM (JTA) — Two Israeli Border Police officers were injured when a Palestinian man rammed his car into a West Bank checkpoint near Jerusalem.
The driver sped up as he approached the Maale Adumim checkpoint in an attempt to run down the security forces on Wednesday evening, police said in a statement.
Israeli soldiers fired on and injured the driver, Channel 2 reported. The driver was taken to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment.
The ramming came at the end of a day marked by several Palestinian attacks on Israeli targets.
