JERUSALEM (JTA) — Two shoppers outside a West Bank supermarket were stabbed by a Palestinian assailant in what police are treating as a terrorist attack.
The victims reportedly were moderately injured in the attack Wednesday evening outside the Rami Levy discount supermarket in the Mishor Adumim industrial zone near Maale Adumim, located east of Jerusalem. The assailant, identified as a 16-year-old Palestinian male from a West Bank village with no prior record, was shot in the legs by a supermarket security guard.
They all were taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment.
Rami Levy supermarkets are known for having Israeli and Palestinian employees and shoppers.
