Cardinal Karl Lehmann is to be honored by the rabbinical institution of Germany’s Reform movement. Lehmann, president of the German Catholic Bishops Conference, will receive the Abraham-Geiger-Preis 2006 from the Abraham Geiger College in Potsdam for his role in promoting tolerance and freedom of thought. Lehmann will be honored next March in Berlin.
