Funeral services were held last Friday at the Riverside Chapel here for Zip Falk Szold, a former national president of Hadassah, who died Thursday at the age of 91.

Mrs. Szold, a relative of Henrietta Szold, who founded Hadassah in 1912, served as national president from 1928 to 1930. Born in Savannah, Ga., she became interested in Zionist affairs through Henrietta Szold. Her involvement intensified and she devoted almost all her time to Zionist activities. In 1920 she sponsored the Young Women’s Zionist branch, which later became the Junior Hadassah.

Mrs. Szold was instrumental in raising funds for the Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. She was also a former editor of the Hadassah Newsletter and served as the organization’s United Nations chairman. Her husband, Robert, who was president of the Zionist Organization of America in 1930, died in 1977.
