Prayers were recited in synagogues throughout the country yesterday, marking the first anniversary this week of the death of the late Chief Rabbi Isaac Halevi Herzog. The anniversary will be observed Wednesday with an official memorial meeting at Heichal Shlomo, the Central Religious Center, where Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim, Minister of the Interior Moshe Shapiro and Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Issar Yehuda Unterman will speak.
The first of a five-volume work, “Heichal Yitzhak, ” comprising the rabbinical response of the late Chief Rabbi, will be published on Wednesday.
